INSTRUCTIONS & SAFETY
Instant Candle lets you transform your favourite container into a candle in seconds. Follow these instructions whenever you set up, light or refresh your candle.
STEP 1 - POUR
Pour Instant Candle into the container.
Choose a clean, dry, stable, open, heat-resistant and non-combustible container at least 10 cm wide internally at its narrowest point. This width helps keep the melt pool away from the sides.
Do not use plastic, wood, paper, cardboard, thin or damaged glass, cracked containers, or anything that could melt, burn, leak, tip or become unstable.
STEP 2 - INSERT THE WICK
Use only HOM33 wicks. Insert one wick upright, leaving approximately 1 cm showing.
Position each wick at least 5 cm from the container edges and anything decorative. Keep at least 3 cm of Instant Candle beneath the wick. The wick and melt pool must not touch the sides or base.
Use one wick in a 10 cm container. In larger containers, position the wicks evenly and keep lit wicks at least 10 cm apart.
Trim the wick if it touches the base.
If the container is not deep or wide enough to maintain the required clearance, choose a different container.
STEP 3 - LIGHT YOUR INSTANT CANDLE
Place the container on a level, stable and heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, heat sources and anything that could catch fire.
Light the wick and keep the candle within sight.
Extinguish immediately if the container becomes excessively hot, cracks, scorches, deforms or becomes unstable, or if the flame becomes unusually large, unstable or smoky.
STEP 4 - EXTINGUISH AND REFRESH
Extinguish the flame using a candle snuffer, wick dipper or by gently blowing it out. Never use water or any liquid.
Allow the wax and container to cool completely before touching, moving or refreshing. Once cool, remove the hardened
melt pool, then reuse or replace the wick.
Extinguish immediately if the container becomes excessively hot, cracks, scorches, deforms or becomes unstable, or if the flame becomes unusually large, unstable or smoky.
ADDING FRAGRANCE
Instant Candle can be used unscented, or scented with a fragrance oil that its manufacturer states is suitable for candles.
Add no more than 5 drops around the wick while the pearls are completely cool and the candle is unlit. Follow the oil manufacturer's own usage and safety instructions — oils vary in how they behave when heated.
Never add fragrance oil, essential oil or any other liquid while the candle is burning, hot or smouldering. Oils are flammable. Using more than the stated amount may affect how your candle burns. Stop use if the flame becomes unusually large, unstable or smoky.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Instant Candle is made from highly refined, plant-based wax and contains no animal-derived ingredients.
When used as directed, it typically produces very little visible smoke or soot. As with any candle, wick position, exposed wick length and draughts can affect how it burns.
One wick lasts approximately 10-12 hours when used correctly and may be relit for as long as it remains usable. Total burn time will vary depending on the container, the number of wicks used and how often the candle is refreshed.
Under normal conditions and when set up as directed, Instant Candle will typically self-extinguish when the flame reaches the end of the wick or if loose pearls cover the flame when the container is accidentally knocked over.
This is an additional safety feature only. Never rely on the candle to extinguish itself and never leave it burning unattended. If the container is knocked over and any flame remains, extinguish it immediately if it is safe to do so. Do not touch the container or wax until everything has cooled completely.
